Today in English, I chose another task from the Creative Writing Matrix. I had to choose a childhood fairytale with nice happy ending. The aim is to put a twist in the story to make it feel horrific.
The Little Red Riding Hood
Once upon a time, there was a girl who was loved by everyone. She was called 'The little red riding hood' because of her red cape that her grandma made. One morning, Little red riding hood was told to deliver some food to her grandmother's house because she was ill. So her mum packed her a nice basket to take and told her: "Do not talk to any stranger along the way". Little Red Riding Hood's Grandma lived in the forest which is far away from the village. As she entered the woods, she met a wolf. He asked her where she was going and she told him about her grandma's illness and where she lives. The wolf tried to trick her by picking up some flowers. While the wolf decided to make his next move by going straight to grandma's house. The wolf pretended to be little red riding hood and entered the grandmother's house. She ate the lady and he used her nightgown to pretend to be the grandmother. When little red came in, she notices how big the wolf's arms, ears, and teeth. So then the wolf ate the girl. The wolf was so full that he decided to take a nap. Soon, the woodcutter came by and heard someone snoring. As the man entered the house, he saw the wolf sleeping in granny's bed. The woodcutter took a knife and opened the wolf's stomach. Red riding hood and her grandma came out of the wolf's stomach safely. Soon they found out that the wolf was dead. The woodcutter threw the dead body in the sea. That's when Little red riding hood finds out that you should always listen to your parents.
The moral of the story: Make sure you don't talk to any stranger or you might find yourself in a dangerous situation.
What am I learning:
I'm learning how to write a story with a twist in the end.
How does this show my learning?
