Butterflies - By Patricia Grace

What am I learning: Critical Literacy
How does this show my learning: By answering the question

1) What kind of language is used in the text? The text that used in this story wasn't good neither the grammar, because the grandparents weren't educated.

2) What is this text about, how do you know? This text is about a different perspective on other people. It's about a girl who thinks that butterflies are bad because they keep destroying the cabbage that his grandfather planted and the teacher thinks a butterfly is good because she buys her vegetables in a market.

3) What does the author want us to know? That everyone has a different point of view in something or someone

4) How are characters constructed in this text? Some of them were poor and well uneducated.

5) What kinds of social realities does the text portray?
Just because you do something in a different way it doesn't mean that your wrong, it just mean that you like being different to others.
