My Coat of Arms

In class, we have been learning about the coat of arms.
Our task was to make our own 'Family Crest' and this is what it looks like:

What is the coat of arms?
A coat of arms is a shield that represents you or your group/family.

Why do we have them?
To show people what we are in the background/ to represent our identity.

Why are they important?
I learned that family crests are important because it represents your family/group tradition/your identity.

What did you include in your crest and why?
Flag - Me and my family's Culture
"Maka-Diyos, Makalikasan at Makabansa" - This is the Philippines national motto which means 'For God, People, Nature, and Country' and it's one of our beliefs.
Heart & Alibata writing - the heart means 'love' and the alibata writing means ' family' (It means I love my family)
Three Star - It represents the three main religion in the Philippines: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao
Alibata Writing(ᜉᜒᜎᜒᜉᜒᜈᜓ) - It means 'Filipino' in English
Praying hands & Cross - Which mean me and my family are Catholic.
Mountain & Tree - My family and I love the outdoors.
